Excellent! Eat in or take away, the food is wonderful with very generous helpings! The staff are friendly, the restuarant inviting and clean, with an added bonus of ovely oil paintings, available to purchase, adorning the walls. Highly recommend!

Take your own ketchup and a book and you're made!

Not especially cheap but mostly good quality. Nice to be able to sit down (this place is a fish restaurant), albeit in a basic 'cafe' style dining area; not a venue for a romantic date. I went on a Saturday night and unfortunately the service was appalling. They focus on what they are doing when they are busy. Instead, they should focus on the their customers, INCLUDING the diners. Only 2 tables were taken but we were completely forgotten about TWICE. I had to get up and ask for coffee after the meal and they served the coffee without even clearing our plates. I ended up joining the take-away queue to pay! The food was mostly very good. Haddock was excellent although the fillets are on the skinny side. Nevertheless, I prefer quality over quality. I was pleased to see curry sauce on the menu and, along with the mushy peas, it was a quality side-order. This was all horribly let down by the worst 'red sauce' (doesn't qualify as ketchup) that I've ever tasted. I would have happily paid extra for proper ketchup (with some tomatoes in it). They offered both malt and onion vinegar which was a nice touch. But this does not redeem them from the insulting red sauce. I don't live locally but if I did I would deffo go back again. Only this time I'd take a book (or a big flag to wave for service), branded Ketchup and HP sauce. I would be interested to try the wine and apple pie which was the only dessert on offer. I noticed there were more choices on the Take-Away menu than there were on the Dining Menu, which was odd. I award 8 out of ten for the good food. Better condiments and service would be edging 10/10.
