D A Lindsayand Sons are a family-owned and -managed funeral directors and monumental craftsmen based in Croydon, Surrey.
David Lindsay comes from a line of funeral directors dating back over 80 years.
David made a decision to open his own independent funeral directors with his wife Kim as they feel they can offer a more personal service to the local community. As family funeral directors we pride ourselves in our ability to serve the local community and be part of that community.
About Us
Being independent means that the funeral directors is owned by the family and not a large corporate conglomerate with boards of directors dictating procedure from afar.
Some large corporations in the nineties purchased many family funeral directors, maintaining the family name, thus deceiving the general public.
Every funeral D A Lindsay and Sons conduct is special. We take great pride in all our facilities, from our funeral home to our staff who will help and guide you in all aspects of the funeral arrangements.

Assisting families to lay their loved one to rest in a dignified, sensitive and meaningful way is at the heart of everything we do. Whether the funeral is a simple, quiet family affair or a grand public event the supportive and compassionate staff of D A Lindsay & Sons will be there to assist and guide you. Traditionally, funerals commence with a church service or a gathering at the funeral directors or family home followed by a ceremony at the crematorium or cemetery.
As our community in South London becomes more cross cultural and ethnically diverse, the vast expertise of D A Lindsay and Sons is being called upon with increasing frequency to assist with the funerals of those from different traditions and backgrounds.

Quick delivery, excellent service
Thank you, David, for your excellent service in my darkest days. I tried 2 other funeral directors before contacting DA Lindsay and sons and they could not offer me delivery of the memorial to the crematorium in less than 3 months. David Lindsay was able to personally guarantee me that delivery of the memorial would be both quicker and cheaper than the other companies and he was as good as his word. The headstone arrived exactly 8 weeks after I ordered it and was engraved just as I had asked. I have no hesitation in recommending this company unreservedly.
