Lovely cafe and much more!
The Pavilion is a Very Important Place in Lowestoft - not only does it contain a fine cafe, but it is also houses the Tourist Information bureau and Mayhem, a well-run soft play facility for children (perfect for rainy days). In front of the building are water fountains rising out from the ground, which children find totally irresistible. But back to the cafe... there's a good selection of snacks, savouries, sandwiches, cakes, ice-creams and main meals, including a children's menu. Portions are generous and the menu is varied - alongside traditional seaside favourites such as fish and chips there are more exotic options such as a very fine Greek salad. The Pavilion is much more than a cafe and a great place to start a holiday in Lowestoft.
