Enjoyable and friendly high tea

Service

Quality

Value

My daughter and I went to LTL Ipswich with a Tickles voucher for high tea. The staff were very friendly and accommodating for us both despite us being the only two customers, so they obviously had to go out of their way to do everything. High tea consisted of four warm crumpets and butter, filled sanwiches (two types of filling), tea, scones and cream and about nine odd cakes. In short our visit contrasted with that of the previous reviewer and we have nohting but good words to say about the staff. Indeed when the rest of the family turned up, The staff were quite happy for them to eat the remaining food (there was a lot for two people) and generally join in. I would happily recommend high tea at Ladies that Lunch Ipswich.

Afternoon Tea for 2 Disappointing

Service

Quality

Value

Visited LTL as a result of a big promotion for Afternoon Tea for 2, which was overpriced for the food we were actually given and bore no resemblance to the advertised picture. I was disappointed with the quality of the sandwiches we were given, which had to be pre-ordered. The fillings were very basic and we were not given what we had asked for. The owners disputed this and then went on to say that they were only covering their costs. This might explain why their bite sized cakes were not home-made and looked remarkably like those you can buy in bulk from a well-known cash & carry store.
