About

About us...

Crowtrees is a working farm offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

The 200 year old farmhouse has views across the picturesque Churnet Valley. We have sheep and depending upon the time of year there maybe lambs to see. Come and meet the goats, Billy and Bobby.

In addition there are cats and a cocker spaniel dog, Buzz. We have our own hens and you will be served fresh farm eggs for breakfast.

The large garden with seating is accessible to all and the grounds offer play areas with space and freedom for ball games, barbeques etc.

If you are planning a visit to Alton Towers, and are looking for farmhouse B&B, then we are ideally situated being just two and a half miles away, no more than 10 minutes by car.

Our Accommodation...

Our accommodation is offered in both the main farmhouse and a recently appointed barn conversion.

The farmhouse provides three en-suite rooms accessed from the main car park, with views across the valley.

Your own key gives access at anytime during your stay.

We do not have a residents lounge but all our rooms have central heating, drinks-making facilities and colour TV's.

Every room has a small fridge for guests' convenience.
The recent barn conversion provides four spacious family/double rooms, all with fully en-suite shower rooms. Each room has independent ground floor access and individual parking.

Larger families can be offered adjoining rooms, the use of two rooms would, of course, be reflected in the price.
Additional accommodation is available in a chalet which opens directly into the garden.

This has a large double bed and bunk beds and all the usual facilities, not large enough for older families, but those with younger ones find it ideal.

Couples also like it for its quiet private location.

Local attractions...

Alton Towers is by no means the only attraction in the Staffordshire Moorlands area. There is much to offer visitors of all ages and tastes. The local factory pottery shops open all year round, and are always popular with guests. Wedgwood, Spode, Moorcroft, Churchill, Portmeirion and several other internationally known potteries have visitor centres or shops and the Gladstone museum offers "hands on" pottery making and painting for all ages.
