This canteen like Chinese buffet restaurant has one advantage over all the other Chinese buffet competitors in this city. Huge space. Absolutely spacious. No matter how busy the place is, it will keep swallowing customers. Plenty of seating which is nicely spaced out.Food is pretty decent. Admitted the usual Chinese buffet fare that you get all over the country. But probably because it is so busy and popular, the food seems to be fresh and no too dry due to constant replenishing. It is situtated right outside a tram stop, with plenty of car parking right below the restaurant. We will be coming back.

Of all the Chinese buffet I have been to in Sheffield, Number One comes out on top. This does not automatically qualify it for a 5 star rating, though, but does mean I have returned quite often. There is a great choice of dishes on offer including noodles, rice, ribs, Chinese snacks - and an ice cream machine to top it all off!The best time to visit, however, is of an evening when the extras are put on display. Cue crispy aromatic duck and hoi sin sauce as well as piles of strawberries for dessert. The building itself is a feature, with its towering ceiling and glass dome roof, providing ample light in the daytime.Overall, a much better alternative to Jumbo and Wok-mania, which both lack the consistency that Number One maintains.
