A little above average
I've been a few times, but everytime I have a pasta dish I seem to have been short changed. I even went for a dish that was 'loaded with chicken' but it certainly wasnt.The golden oldie music makes for a nice atmosphere even though it requires to raise voices for the company to hear you.The food is nice and slightly above reasonable cost for what you get (although slightly). Service isnt particularly great, although young myself it seems to take a rather long time to get drinks and food ordered even when their less than half busy and then for plates to be taken away etc.Its a nice enough place to eat but its not fantastic, i enjoy the music but dont enjoy having to shout to someone on the same table

Frankie and Bennys
Frankie and Bennys is in the Lakeside area near the cinema and bowling alley making it an ideal place to eat after any of these activities. Frankie and Bennys serves various Italian dishes such as pizza and pasta along with sandwiches and grills. There is also a kids menu and a goody bag to keep them busy.The meals are normally around the £8 mark however, you do get a lot for your money.The main problem with Frankie and Bennys is the long waiting times. It can take a while to be seated, however there is a separate bar area you can wait in. Once you are seated it can take a while for your food to be served and the wait for the bill is also long.Overall, nice food just shame about the wait.

Relaxed Friendly Restaurant
Frankie and Benny's Restaurant is ideal for anyone who is planning a bite with friends and family in a relaxed and friendly environment. It is not only located a short drive (2 miles) from the M18 motorway but is also ideally located next to a wide variety of social activities such as a bowling alley and cinema. Parking is ample and from personal experience I would suggest booking is not essential (unless on bank holidays). Providing an Italian/American influenced menu, it is open from mid morning providing a select menu for breakfast right through to evening, which boasts a wider menu catering for most tastes. I can particularly recommend mama's cheese bake or the black and blue burger!!. The ambience is very upbeat and friendly, and swing type music is always played, although at times can be quite load. However if you do enjoy the music, cd's are on sale there!. I would definitely recommend this restaurant as a place to take children. Staff are extremely friendly and provide crayons/balloons as extra entertainment to keep the children quite whilst you enjoy a relaxed dining experience.

Frankie & Benny's
Frankie & Benny's is a great restaurant for families and has a fun atmosphere.Its Italian/American food is excellent. They also have a great list of desserts. They offer a lunchtime deal during the week until 5 pm that gives a special rate on 1,2 or 3 course meals within a fixed menu. It's really good value and good portions.Music is played (quite loudly) so if you're looking for quiet conversation, this probably isn't the place. However, it's fantastic with children, as the music is fun and drowns out any noise your little ones might make! The restaurant is truly family friendly, with kids' menu, activity bag which caters for various ages, balloons, and a few toys.They also do special promotions periodically throughout the year, such as on Father's Day, etc.A favourite!

Frankie and Benny's
Frankie and Benny's serve mainly Italian dishes. I'd suggest trying to go for a meal deal, of which there are quite a few, as otherwise their prices do tend to be on the high side. The portions are huge though. Their sharing platters are a must for starters if you find it hard to narrow down what you want.The only downside is that they automatically add a service charge to the bottom of your bill. This is not necessarily deserved as the staff aren't always that helpful. Possibly because they know they will be tipped anyway so don't feel that they have to work for it. Other than that it is a great restaraunt and has something for everyone.

Frankie & Benny's
This popular chain restaurant is situated (as they usually are) in between the cinema and bowling alley. As such, it benefits from ample parking and is a massive convenience if you are out either as a couple or with children. The food is generally of a high standard and the staff are helpful and friendly. The atmosphere tends to be quite lively with Italian music playing and there are often large parties in enjoying children's birthday celebrations. The menu is fairly extensive and I have yet to experience a bad meal there. Frankie & Benny's isn't really a romantic night time restaurant, it is more for families or those wanting a bite either pre or post going to the cinema. It manages to get the balance between catering for children and adults just right so that the grown ups don't feel overwhelmed by kids (and probably vice versa!)As a bonus, they also have a decked area outside if you happen to visit on a warm day and prefer to dine al fresco.
