We have eaten here as a couple at lunch time and also a works party, on all occasions food and service were of a very high standard. I even planned a surprise 21st for my son, Amazing evening followed by karaoke, well done Dancing Dragon.

come on people stop complaining! the food is good, the service is good, it is convenient. so it is not 5 star and the culture might be different. Embrace that and just get beyond yourself and enjoy the experience!

Been several times with friends, family and my kids and their friends. Everytime the food has been superb, drinks supplied quickly and staff friendly and hospitable. Once you get used to your plate dissapearing quickly and just grab a clean one, you are in! LOVE the crispy duck, seaweed and especially the toffee apples - YUMMY. Would recommend to anyone.

I have been a constant patronage to this place, well i would not say this is not the best chinese restaurant in oxford, as i have not been to ALL of them, i would say they are pretty decent when it comes to food quality and services. Thought the price might not be the cheapest but for the variety that you enjoy, i would certainly say it's worth the price. People who has bad comment about the service, i could understand. I had the same experience that they buss my plate too quick to my liking and i told them i am fine if my plate is not removed too quickly. Basically they are just trying to provide a better service (keeping your table clean). I am sure if you tell them your preference (about bussing your plate) they will understand. Talking about rudeness, did you people ever consider they are not local and their vocabulary is not as good as you? I bet its the same other people in other part of the world would think you are rude when they don't speak English as their mother tongue. So be considerate would you? Well it clearly stated that they do have KTV and some people would like to sing as much as you don't like. So you do not always have it your way. If you want a QUITE meal just tailored for you, why not you try book the whole place of pay more for at a 5 star restaurant? 10% service charge? Come on, be generous, the people serving you work so hard for it, getting your table clean and trying their best to get a place for you and your date on the weekend. What's a 10% service charge gonna hurt? So to those who always complain and never try to understand the situation, i wish you had this experience and if you don't i seriously wish your manager or someone in a higher position give you some pressure so that you understand and try not to be such a cheap and whiner.

I don't agree with all the bad reviews of this place at all! I went there once before with my family, and enjoyed myself a lot! The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and there is plenty of choice. They serve seaweed which actually is really nice - I suggest you try it! I think you should go to this place because they do a really good meal!

sad to see a handful of bitter reviews. the buffet is a relaxing meal - no constraint on how much food, get to sample wide variety, perfect for picky kids who get to choose exactly what they like the look of. Staff hover constantly to remove used plates (you just go and get another) which is initially un-nerving! Have always been treated courteously however, and the cost of the meal is reasonable.

Just a piece of advice to everyone who dont want to ruin any specila family celebration dont come in this restaurant. Me and my husband with our 20 mos old baby and a close friend a couple with a kid with the same range of age come to celebrate my husband b day instead to enjoy it the staff just ruin it by keeps saying save tissue and food but basically we need tissue because we got a baby whose a bit messy. when we are trying to ask for the managers assistance about the rudeness of that staff instead of making there service much better what he did is charge our 20 months old babies their meal how crazy is that.It is clear in their note they are free and they just only charge kids with certain height. What the manager said is his watching us eating and the kids ate some food apparently the only free is ice cream. How rubbish is that where ever you go under 2 yrs old normally are free they dont eat enough and proper. I just dont know where can i forward my complain because this is a rubbish restaurant. Charging you 10% surcharge even there service is rubbish and staff are rude you wont even enjoy eating because they are watching you as if you are not paying.

Had heard good things about this place, decided to see what all the fuss was about... what a disappointment, it was like having a below par greasey chinese in peter kays pheonix nights! Trying to eat a chow mein whist listenning to a fat common bird murder 'Hey Jude' was not good! Although i can see the appeal if your with a large group of mates absolutely battered, but thats the only time this will be enjoyable... for one reason you wont remember any of it the next day!!

I have been using the Dancing Dragon for many years now and thoroughly enjoy the food. It is great just being able to help yourself quickly without having to wait to be served. The food is hot, tasty and caters for all tastes. Top tip - By your drinks at the bar your drinks are subject to the 10% mandatory surcharge

The most easy going friendly chinese restaurant with fantastic food that is always fresh. If you want to go out for a special occasion or pop in after work you never feel out of place day or night.

Tried this after my 15 year old Daughter recommended it. She went to a party there. Buffet is excellent, everything you would expect from a Chinese restaurant. It rivals similar premises in Chinatown London, New York or San Francisco. Book to guarantee a table especially at weekend evenings. Early evening bookings must expect large numbers of children and students in the restaurant. Staff are superb.
