As an experienced teacher, tutor and parent, I offer MATHS TUITION on an individual basis from my home in Central North Oxford, just off the Woodstock Road, near St Anne's College. Below is an outline of what I can do for you or your child. Each section has more details on another page.
Over the time I have been working as a private tutor, I have seen a wide variety of students of all ages and abilities. During their time with me, either for a few lessons or over a year or more, I have watched their confidence grow. I mainly teach at A level, having the full worked past papers of all the popular boards. This includes Further Maths and preparation for Cambridge STEP or Oxford entrance exams.
I also teach GCSE and IGCSE at Higher level. I sometimes have space available to teach pupils of year 10 and below in half terms and holidays, but not usually on a regular basis in term time.
I also teach numeracy skills to adults, when they are required for qualifications.
Maths is a subject in which it is very easy to lose confidence. Equally it is easy to restore it with individual tuition, where the work is covered at the student's pace and not that of the class. I would hope that all my students are able to feel that they can ask whatever they want and that they then get feedback they are able to understand.

“A really enjoyed her maths session with you and came away brimming with confidence"
In some cases as well as having difficulties with the subject, they had lost interest in it, due to large classes or poor teaching. I have found it stimulating to rekindle their enthusiasm for a subject, which is so often perceived as tedious.
As a consequence with renewed understanding, confidence and interest, their results in class and exams improve considerably.
