This is a small, traditional pub, located in the outskirts of Sutton-in-Ashfield. Although the building is somewhat modern and ugly looking from the outside, once inside, you will find that the decor is both confortable and inviting. The atmosphere is friendly, quiet and relaxed, definitely a place to go to enjoy a few quiet pints in the evening rather than to indulge in a mad night out. There is a good menu, with a good selection of traditional dishes and the food is both reasonably priced and good quality. There is no beer garden as such, although there are some seets outside, which means that smokers can at least take a seat to enjoy their habit.
