fantastic place to be
I have had first hand experience at west lodge and can not even put into words the high regards i have for members of staff. I am a qualified nurse for five years and it was working at west lodge that made me decide to go into the nursing field. The love and standard of care that the clients receive is nothing but the utmost best.It amazes me that clients come to reside there only hearing about the home through word of mouth as no advertising is needed.This place is home to many races and religions where they reside as a family.Matron has always put her residents first and yes in the process those lazy staff members who are not diligent and who cut corners choose to leave , as they are unable to keep up with the high care standards expected from them. I most certainly would recommend this home, as i would place my own parents there.

Bad Treatment of our elderly
The poor souls who are unfortunatle enough to be in this God forsaken place must wish for life to hurry up and end. The people are treated roughly and coldly and quite frankly I know dogs who have been treated better. On the rare occasion they do manage to employ someone with some sence AND common decency at West Lodge Nursing Home, they make it clear that their sort are not wanted around. It's bad enough our elderly are not treated with the respect they deserve but to know that they also mistreat the few people who actually care and joined that profession to help are bullied and illtreated enough to make them leave, not only this home but the profession. And since when does encouraging someone to eat become physical? The people who reside here must had a sad and depressing end to their lives. The poor things.
