Don't bother

We ordered food and drinks at 12.05 which did not arrive till 12.50. Food looked great on the menu but not on the plate, We expected the slow roasted belly pork in apple sauce to be golden brown and crispy on the top, in reallity it was anaemic and soggy with only a hint of apple flavour. Our glasses were sticking to the table, which I would not expect at opening time as it should be clean. When we tried to add a second dessert to our order (my husband had ordered his with his main course) we were told they were too busy to do it (how long does it take to to put a piece of cake on a plate and add a scoop of ice cream?) Other customers were also having their food orders turned down (main course)even though the pub was not full. The 'wipe clean' menu on our table was covered in beer stains. Overall the pub is very shabby and the service is appalling.
