Not a bad restaurant

Visited this restaurant with the family for an evening meal. Overall it was a pleasant experience, the food was replenished quickly with a variety of food for all ages. We found the staff too attentive at times, they seemed to 'swarm' and hover around your table and as soon as you put your cutlery down they 'swooped' in to take you plate away. And in the space of a minute 5 staff had asked us if we needed more drinks. It would have been nicer if they just had a specific waiter/waitress assigned to particular tables. Children over the age of 10 are charged adult prices so be sure they eat enough for the prices they charge. We would be happy to visit this restaurant again, makes a nice change to other buffet style restaurants in Nottingham.

Friday night visit excellent food choice and service, Do not believe and negativity about this place, its usually from people who are trying to get a free meal. I highly recommend it and I will be travelling the 20 miles to visit again.

Found that the staff were struggling to communicate - the uniforms were filthy and a random 5% was banged on to the bill without warning for a service charge ( manually written on) - normal practice is to give the customer a choice - I normally tip 15% but left nothing on this occasion - the food was Ok -BUT - the whole party felt uncomfortable

the concept was interesting. food enjoyable. good variety. but the whole experience was severely undermined by the management's refusal to turn down the volume on the background music. it was far far too loud and meant that the two out of the four of us who were hard of hearing could not join in the conversation.

Written about a thursday night visit. This is a one price buffet restaurant but the price varies according to the day ofthe week. It is cheapest on sunday lunchtimes. (I think £9 for adults) The range is smaller on Sundays and I think larger on Saturdays (£15 for adults?) according to friends who go there a lot. There doesn't seemt o be any other menu choices, everything is in the fixed price including starters and afters, but not drinks. The restaurant is at the very bottom of Hockley, about 200 metres from market square. It is on two levels, both with seating. The bottom level is where the food is and has a large salad area. There are at least 6 types of fancy salads, we saw 10 Thai curry dishes and 10 indian curry dishes plus rices. As well as this there is a long bar area where freshly cooked food is laid out. This includes loads of types of thai, indian and chineses delicacies such as chicken tikka and special kebabs. Here you can also choose the raw veg and meat for a stir fry and have it cooked and bought to your table. There is also a pizza service cooked to order and I think Pasta as well. The dessert area had 4 types of gateau plus fruit salads, 10types of ice cream and other things. There were also plenty of poppadums, nan bread, prawn crackers etc. The best bit was a sweet bar. Huge quantities of chocolate raisins and jelly babies etc where people could serve themselves. The range of food was excellent, the quality of pre cooked curries was good but the freshly cooked items like the chicken tikka and stir fries was very high. The best bit is that it is one price, once you pay, you can eat anything as much a you want (including the sweet bar) and it was all good quality with lots of fresh ingredients. It would be an ideal place to take kids. The down side? Drinks are expensive with wine starting at £12 and bottles beers just under £3. Have a drink before and after you go and you will have a great night in friendly surroundings and good food.

This is a fabulous restaurant, offering a range of buffet food types; chinese, indian, thai and italian. The best part is that some of the food is cooked while you wait from fresh ingredients that you can choose. Also very nice desserts!!
