Had my girlfriends birthday here on the weekend. The staff were very pleasant and very professional. Very surprised at the reviews below as we had an amazing evening. Atmosphere in the restuarant was fantastic and the food more importantly was superb. Would highly recommend this restuarant!!!

Manager of this place is one of the rudist blokes you'll have the misfortune of meeting - The restaurant looks the part but don't be fooled - food was luke warm, service was shocking and the manager can't take critisism

Service was poor. Food was average at a high price compared to other Indian restaurants (or restaurants in general). Manager/owner was rude when I approached him for a conversation and offered no apology. Overall I would NOT recommend. Very unhappy.

I and a few friends visited the curry lounge last week as the begining to a great evening 21 st birthday. And it really was thanks to all the staff at The Curry Lounge. The decor was right on the times clean modern but not in a cold way. The staff were very warm and made the birthday girl feel very special. But best of all was the price it was 20% of the bill a offer which runs in the week I believe and I think we all spent around £20 including a few beverages also.

We were a little apprehensive after eading the review, but the rest were glowing so we went along. We were greeted by a smile and pleasant waiter took us to our table. The whole night was top draw. Excellent food. Very good service from the whole team. The manager even bought my wife a birthday cake, nice touch. The whole group was made to feel special. The nly niggle we had was that they had run out of the weekend special. Would recommend to anyone and will be back at Xmas. Thanks you again.

Went here for a birthday meal with my partner, from the moment of entering the restaurant the waitress was pretenious, food wasnt too bad, have had better but continuly the waiteress was very pretentious and unaccomadating, you'd think that she worked for G.Ramsey-not for a restaurant revamped and given a new image because of being slated on national TV! Food and restaurant are good but the staff need to come down a peg or two.

Excellent diner. Great variety and flavours and agree, service very impressive indeed. Not sure about other restaurants but, this has to be one of the best we have been to. 10/10 all round. Good atmosphere compared to some places.

Excellent service front of house, food fairly average. Certainly better indian restaurants near by.

Top notch food, great service and atmosphere. Got a free drink and a cake as my birthday, which was a nice touch. Will be back and happy to recommend.

We had the best meal ever at an Indian restaraunt. The lamb was so tender, and the service was good and very friendly. Definitely go back if we are in Nottingham again.

Well, my friend told me about this resteraunt and i had no idea Gordan Ramsey (who i am a great fan of) had been in to fix the place up so the previous menu i had no idea about. It was a Saturday night and we weren't expecting to get a table as it looked packed from outside but within 5mintues they seated us in a perfect place too. I absolutely loved the food! 5* all round. Being asian myself, tasting food like that was so great, so fresh and the nans were so nice and soft too! I particualrly enjoyed the gosht dhamakah it tasted just like my mum had cooked it at home which was amazing to get that in a resteraunt! The sevrice was great, the place has a great relaxing feel to it and the decor inside is gorgeous! It can suit any mood/occasion/family dinners/party's etc. As it was our first time there, we asked staff if they had any suggestions as to what they would recommend, and their recommendations were great as we found no fault in any of the food! from the mix grill to chicken biryani to the nans in the basket, thank god Gordan told them to get rid of them on the steel antlers as I've seen it done before in another resteraunt and it's not too great! Raz, Gordan's done you well, the place was faultless we even booked it for another night out next week. Compliments to the Chef for some fantastic food, and proving that maybe mums cooking can be beat but so far, only in the Curry Lounge!

I booked my wifes birthday surprise last night on the strength of rumours on how good this place was, so expectations were high from our group. We were very impressed all round. The moment we stepped into the restaurant we got what can only be discribed as the best welcome I had ever received from any establishment ( work as a customer service manager so i should know). The owner was polite, warm and made us feel at home. The staff were the same all night, nothing was to much trouble, great service when we wanted it. As for the food, simply sublime. 10/10!!! It just oozed freshness, taste and all the dishes tasted and looked different. I had the special of the day. Chicken Nawabi. Just excellent. The desserts were equally impressive. My wife got a cake on the house which was a really nice touch and made us feel very special. A night to remember and we will be back very soon. Whatever Gordon Ramsay showed them they certainly pushed the limits of Indian food.

I went with my daughter a couple of months ago and the food was not very nice at all. The chicken tikka masala was bland and oily and the chicken tikka was dry and powdery. I am so pleased that Gordon made them change that stupid menu they had and brought in the basic menu which is straightforwardand easier to follow.

Well, this was a surprise. Passing by by chance and looked in through window and looked very plush. Food was amazing , the best i have had for a while. Fresh, tasty, loads of choice and prices that were very low for this standard of food and surroudings. Everything was spot on. Service fast and efficient without being in your face. Would recommended and have booked for this weekend. 10/10.

I have just returned home, after having a fantastic meal at the curry lounge. The atmosphere is laid back with a contemporary twist and the service second to none. The food was excellent and there were several dishes available that you just dont see in other indian restaurants. Overall one very satisfied customer, make sure you give it a try!
