Restaurant - Indian in Newark
2 Stodman Street
Newark
Nottinghamshire

i've been eating with my family at this restaurant at a very young age, I moved out from newark to London and all i can say is none of the indian restaurants there compare to the Asha's superb taste and brilliant service. Better than Mint leaf.

I'm not sure the above person was eating at the same restaurant. The Asha in Newark is fantastic. I've eaten in 40+ curry houses in the last 10 years and this is amongst the very best. Food and service are this establishments strong points. On the down side, yes, it is costly, but everything is round here. It is dark in this venue, but it's not bad. If you want light and airy, the Shaan on the other side of town might be up your street, but the food is no where near as good. 4 stars with only the price letting it down. Shabby indeed. What were you thinking?

How depressing. Back to the 70's for formula curry at really over-inflated prices. We paid over £45 for 2, with only 1 course each, 2 soft drinks and 2 beers. is that good value? Not when the food is this bland and unoriginal. Unless you're really too lazy to make a curry yourself and HAVE to have one, don't bother going here.
