Bad customer relations & thiefs

I bought some school trousers & double checked if i could take them back if they were not right, she said 'yes yes anytime'. The trousers had a button missing so I went back the same day but she REFUSED to give me a refund!! They didnt have an identical pair for me to swap with but she still only gave a credit not and not a refund. Now I have to go back and spend my credit note on her rubbish clothes! She said its not her fault its just their policy... I asked who I could write to to complain but she refused to speak to me any further. I told her I was very upset and it was very poor customer service but she just kept talking over me and shaking her head. I have given her trousers back (with receipt) but she won't give me my money back. I feel they should not be allowed to trade and they are conning people.
