About
The Yorkshire Air Museum & Allied Air Forces Memorial was formed in 1985 on the former WW2 Bomber Command Station, RAF Elvington with the main focus of promoting the history of aviation in Yorkshire and to provide a lasting memorial to the Allied Air Forces who served during the Second World War. The Museum is home to over 40 complete airframes including the unique Halifax Bomber and Mosquito Night Fighter, and 16 exhibitions including Aviation Pioneers and Bomber Command. ...
