Sainsbury's is one of the largest supermarket chains in the UK, providing everything from groceries and clothing to homewares, electricals and much more. Our goal has always been to become one of the most trusted retailers in the UK, where people love to work and shop.
After 'shopping around' (ho!ho!) for the best supermarket, I have firmly decided on Sainsbury's. Yes Asda and Tesco can be cheaper, but not by much anymore and the quality of fresh stuff is a lot better at Sainsbury's.The Monk's Cross branch is a great supermarket. It has its own entrance from the Monk's Cross roundabout, so you don't get snarled up with the other shoppers and a huge car park. Inside the store it has a nice cosy feel to it - I don't mean that it's small and cramped, but personally I prefer it to the overlit cavernous superstores. This branch stocks the TU clothing range and lots of electricals (always manage to lose my other half to the enormous flat screen tvs!), homewares and books/cds/games/dvds too. There is a salad bar, hot food counter, butcher and deli at the back of the store - and there are lots of pre-cut deli cheeses and meats available nicely displayed in baskets if you don't fancy queuing for service. There are loads of tills and you never seem to have to queue for very long (but I do avoid weekend shopping). There is also a coffee shop. This branch has an all-important petrol station, which stocks the cheapest petrol in the area, but again I'd avoid a weekend visit as the queues are enormous.
