Welcome to Ducketts Plastering Contractors Ltd. Established over 40 years ago, the Duckett name has been synonymous with quality and excellence in the plastering industry throughout Yorkshire.A third generation business, Ducketts has been built on the core values held by its founder Mervyn Duckett in 1965. Mervyn began his career learning his trade in 1961 training under Frank Hughes, Artex in Sussex, Mervyn excelled and completed the course in record time. Mervyn founded the company having moved from his home in Lancashire after securing business in Hull in 1965 working on many of the Hull housing schemes of that time. He worked on Bransholme's Dorchester Road, Stroud Crescent and Orchard Park estates for Hull City Council working alongside Barratt Homes, Persimmon Homes and Wimpy, along with many other smaller local contractors.

The company's success was attained in the early years from Mervyn's hard work, exacting standards and unquestionable motivation to achieve the finest quality work. Integrity and quality was instilled in all of the skilled workforce which he trained.

Mervyn trained and developed the careers of his two sons John and Mark who progressed the business along with their Father until his unfortunate death in 2003.

These early values have carried the company's achievements through difficult times and are held close to the heart by Mervyn's grandson and current Managing Director Kristian.
