Disgrace

Well what can I say...apart from total disappointment! Communication was good to the lead up of the wedding. I gave measurements of the stage that would be in the marquee and advised there would also be a band playing alongside! On arrival Mervyn was advised to set up on the stage. He then said there wouldn’t be enough space for him and the band. He then approached myself (the bride) and started to complain about the set up to me....on my wedding day 😡 which I thought was totally inappropriate! He then had inadequate cables to set up with so one of our guests who was an electrician then had to leave the wedding to supply equipment! He then said to the groomsmen that they were unable to use the microphone for the speeches as we had put him under to much pressure! Once he had set up on the stage he just threw a bed sheet over the set up which in all honesty looked crap! The band then had to set up on the dance floor as he wouldn’t Co-operate and move...so there was 50% off the stage left empty! I gave him a playlist to go through so there were no clashes in songs with the band.. which he only played a handful of the songs and played songs which the band had already played! I seemed to just get the impression he was totally miffed that we had a band so he had to share the limelight! He then denied any guests of any special requests... Total disappointment and if I had to pick one thing that i would change on the day. It would be the dj. At one point I just wanted him to go home I was getting so upset!
