Restaurant - Indian in Great Yarmouth
5 Marine Parade
Great Yarmouth
Norfolk
NR30 3AH
Friends had recommended this restaurant to us and so we decided to check it out for ourselves. The restaurant is in a great position on the seafront at Yarmouth and has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Staff are very friendly & helpful and though they were incredibly busy still had time for a chat. The food was superb. Everything cooked to order and whilst we were a bit "timid" in our choice our friends were much more adventurous. Can highly recommend!

Everything is cooked with a LOT of oil (probably ghee - clarified butter). So first time you go head over heels with the taste. That is the the most ancient and universal trick in the book. Nobody was ever shot for a real fry up dish. Prices are towards the top end. Service is slow. But a great first time meal. Next time, you realise that they only sell small bottles of beer at the top end price, so that a thirsty punter can fill the coffers very rapidly, the only redeeming thing is that the service being slow, you may have to wait all night before your thirst is satiated. After the meal, take a very long walk. The oil and ghee will give you such a feel of well being that you may wake up several times at night with heaviness and dryness. All in all, you MUST try it once. Second time is for those with a high metabolic rate. It is certainly different from the standard high-street-taj-mahal stodge. With those you are at least guaranteed that all the food tastes the same. I can assure you that all items on the menu are quite different and reassuringly pricey.
