TACTICAL MONEY THIEVES
I was terribly let down by members of 1st Choice Properties especially by Roomona the lettings manager herself who made false promises time after time especially regarding my deposit. Customer Satisfaction is not a priority to them regardless of how much you cooperate just to be left ignored and the resolution not resolved at all. During move out in the end the agent made ridiculous claims on the damages of the property and paid extreme attention to detail which is strange as the agent during my move in was completely different and very rushed during inventory check which now I am aware was on purpose to benefit from these so called damages. When asked to show evidence of these so called damages I had no cooperation and was totally ignored! If you are currently renting from 1st choice be cautious of this as they will try to take your deposit to benefit themselves and if you are considering 1st Choice well I suggest you don’t!

Absolutely awful.
Upon attempting to charge us £700 of damages for a whole set of factors for which we were not responsible, only now, 3 months later have we managed to claw £600 of this back. During this time we have had to send countless emails and threaten adjudication to finally reach a fair settlement. Money taken from the deposit amount is there to pay for cleaning and repair. However, First Choice took the decision to take an additional £600 because they could, and I would also guess they did this because they assumed students would be new to renting and unlikely to kick up a fuss. Renting with First Choice has been an awful experience and anyone, student or otherwise, considering renting with them should be well warned of the various conning techniques employed by Roomana and her slimy apprentice James that they'll be subject to.
