Unexpected diamond in the rough

When I walked in I though I had gone through a time portal back into the past. It's small and the decor is shabby and very dated, but the place had a friendly, lively atmosphere. Populated mainly by the local Indian community who come to watch sports ( don't come to watch football if cricket is on !! ) on the big screen, drink and eat. I learned that people come from miles around for the food, and after I had sampled it I understood why. No menu to speak of but it does all the standard Indian fare. Explain what you want ( chicken or lamb, on bone or off the bone and just how spicy you want it ) and you tailor made curry arrives with rice, nann or anything else you may have ordered. Table service for drinks. I've taken people there who now ask to go back if they're over my way.
