A little bit about The Mouse...

The Country Mouse Restaurant is set into Brimstage Hall, a medieval tower built near the 12th Century in the tiny hamlet of Brimstage. Surrounded by an idyllic courtyard, tucked away in the heart of the Wirral, The Country Mouse is one of the most attractive historically rich restaurants in the area.

Inspired by tradition, all the recipes are prepared on site by the proprietor and master chef, Valerie Osbourne, who has many years of experience to give the most incredible tasting home cooked food in a class of its own. Using locally sourced fresh meat and vegetables. The Country Mouse are renowned for their use of fresh ingredients... and also for our huge selection of delicious cakes.

The restaurant is set in the stable block of the old tower, decorated by old fashioned trinkets and a large selection of local artists paintings and prints. The restaurant boasts a warm and friendly atmosphere, with helpful and conscientious staff to serve your every need.

In summer come and join us in our lush back garden, a fantastic sun trap, set right in the middle of the countryside, bring the kids and enjoy the small kids play area, and join us for some salad or tea and cakes. And don't worry if it's raining or cold, we can keep you dry and sheltered under our crystal clear conservatory roof.

NOW AVAILABLE - A beautifully constructed sandstone based conservatory, hand built by Master Stone Mason Joe Osbourne. Open for over four years, this area has been built for special functions and over-flow from the restaurant.

BREAKFAST - Come and join us at the weekend for 'Breakfast in the conservatory'. (Saturday and Sunday only)

MORNING COFFEE - From 10:00am till 12:00pm.
Come down and spoil yourself with a cup of hot coffee and a choice of freshly baked cakes. We also serve scones, croissants and toast.

DAILY LUNCH - Served every Monday to Saturday, 12:00noon till 3:00pm.
We offer a fresh homemade salad bar with a selection of up to 16 different salads (Suitable for vegetarians). We serve a large array of tradition English meals and an ever expanding range of vegetarian meals.

SUNDAY LUNCH - 12noon till 3:00pm.
We serve a three course roast dinner every Sunday. With the most deliciously prepared locally procured roasting joints, served with a rich meaty gravy, and the finest roast potatoes on the Wirral, it's a roast dinner not to miss. Bring the whole family...just make sure you book table!

AFTERNOON TEA - From 3:00pm till 5:00pm.
Come and join us in the afternoon for a good old afternoon tea, treat yourself to a Country Mouse Cream Tea...
