About Me

Since I was 3 years old, I have enjoyed baking and my passion and love for baking was enhanced during my time living and working in Paris where I worked for a prestigious international law firm as a bilingual legal secretary. I would spend most of my free time in the kitchen baking for my colleagues and became known as 'the Cake Fairy' in my department. It was in my Parisian office overlooking the Champs-Elysées where the idea for Lilibets of Paris was born. I had fallen in love with baking and loved just as much the delight of my colleagues when I brought new cakes in for them to try. I subsequently applied and was accepted to the prestigious French culinary school Le Cordon Bleu. From the very first day I spent there, I knew that this was what I wanted to do. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Le Cordon Bleu and was delighted to come 2nd out of a class of 70.

I had my heart set on opening my own French Pâtisserie and this dream came true when I opened Lilibets of Paris in my home town of Southport. Since opening, we have expanded our range and incorporated handmade wedding cakes amongst other cakes. I am also honoured to have supplied Fortnum and Mason in London.

I am ably assisted by my assistant, Charlie, who is very capable and shares the same vision for creativity and perfection that I do. Charlie helps in all aspects of baking. On a daily basis we make French Pâtisserie which is available to take home or eat in with a delicious coffee or tea. All our cakes are beautifully presented, wrapped and ribboned as they are in Paris.

Lilibets of Paris

Welcome to Lilibets of Paris; a world of French Pâtisserie and bespoke handmade wedding and celebration cakes. Founded in 2008, Lilibets of Paris is owned and run by Creative Director, Lilibet Connard. Lilibet was trained in Paris at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu culinary school coming 2nd in her class and followed her dream to open her own Patisserie.

Every cake is lovingly made by hand using only the finest, fresh, natural ingredients mostly imported from France to ensure the highest quality and authenticity. Attention to detail is of the utmost importance to us and whatever you are looking for, you can be assured of a warm welcome and delicious aromas as we bake in our stylish open-plan kitchen throughout the day.

Celebrations

Whatever the occasion, be it birthday, anniversary, Christening, baby shower or something else - we can create a special cake for you. Choices range from cupcakes to larger celebration cakes; cupcakes can be a choice of iced or with buttercream and larger celebration cakes start from a deep 6" size. As with all our products, everything is made by hand using the finest, fresh ingredients.

Wedding & Party Favours

We have a wide choice of iced shortbreads for both weddings and as the perfect addition to your party favour bag. Shortbreads are handmade in either plain or Provence lavender flavours and are hand- decorated to suit your colour scheme or chosen theme. These are made in a variety of shapes from hearts to numbers to pretty teapots and butterflies and can be individually designed to suit your wedding or party. All iced shortbreads come individually wrapped and ribboned.
