David Kirwan has now practised for more than 34 years, opening the Prenton Office in 1991 and is now joined by four Partners: Jasper Dawson – Head of Private Client and Conveyancing who has practised in the Wirral since 1975; Paul Ford – Head of the Criminal Department; Simon Gibson – Head of the Personal Injury Department and Michael Sandys - Head of the Civil Litigation & Commercial Department. Paul's team aims to be professional and approachable at all times. Paul has a background of more than 10 years in the criminal area of work and his department contains a good blend of youth and experience. Kirwans is a member of the Legal Services Commission Serious Fraud Panel , membership of which is restricted to a few firms nationwide , and is the only firm on the Wirral to have achieved this status. The department handles high profile criminal cases involving prosecutions by the Department of Trade & Industry , HM Customs & Excise , Inland Revenue and Health & Safety Executive. Senior Partner David Kirwan, a Higher Court Advocate both Crime and Civil, has over 34 years experience representing clients throughout the country and abroad. We work in the interest of our clients in close partnership with accountants and insolvency practitioners and other advisers in the corporate and forensic field. The family team is led by Paul Hunt, a solicitor with over 20 years experience in Family Law. He completed his training with solicitors in Ellesmere Port and since qualification in 1981 has worked in Central Liverpool and St Helens , dealing exclusively with Family Law cases, joining Kirwans in February 2002.
