Established in 2000, I have extensive experience and have built up a strong reputation both locally and nationally, for wedding receptions, birthday and anniversary parties, and corporate functions. I have worked at intimate to large-scale private parties, and in clubs, pubs and hotels.

Party DJ/Mobile Disco:

When you are organizing your special occasion, it's important to make sure that the DJ you choose is the right one for you. Not all DJs are the same. We don't all provide the same kind and level and service. I take pride in playing the right music for you and creating a great atmosphere and memorable night. Whatever the occasion, I ensure that everything runs smoothly, so that you can relax and get on with the party.

The Party:
I will arrive at the venue to set up at least an hour in advance – I can arrive earlier if you wish – and will start at the agreed time. I will be smartly and appropriately dressed.

If required, I can act as MC for the evening, hosting any formalities, making announcements, introducing speeches, getting everyone to sing ‘Happy Birthday', helping with surprises and gift giving, and generally making sure everything runs according to plan – while remaining open to any last-minute changes.

If there are a number of children among your guests, I can make a point of entertaining them during the earlier part of the party.

Throughout the evening I will be approachable and polite, making sure to cater for and involve everybody, without being intrusive, taking requests and making dedications as required.

Proms: Proms are becoming increasingly popular, and I aim to provide a memorable night that will match the efforts the students put into it. I am always open to suggestions if students have a particular theme in mind.

Children's Parties: I have provided the entertainment at a lot of children's parties. As well as playing appropriate music, I can also organize games – including musical statues, musical bumps, corners, pass the parcel, limbo, and best dancer [parents to provide the prizes if required].

Schools: I also work in schools – again, providing suitable music and games at primary-school level, and discos – for instance, Christmas and Halloween – at secondary-school level.

Corporate events: I provide a professional, reliable, first-rate service that will reflect well on your business, and provide your guests with a distinctive, memorable and enjoyable night.

The Music:
The choice of music is a key element to the success of your occasion. I always tailor the music and the night to your specific needs and wishes. For instance, do you like a particular era or style of music, or want a theme for the evening? Are there songs that have a specific significance for you and your guests? Are there any songs or styles of music that you don't want played? Or would you rather have minimal input to the choice of music?

I have an extensive music library that runs through the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, to modern chart and club music, as well as children's parties. Alongside decade-based theme nights - the 60s, 70s, and 80s nights are very popular - I also specialise in:

On the night I am always open to requests - unless you stipulate otherwise.

I tailor my microphone technique to what you want – whether chatty and interacting with your guests, or being more restrained and letting the music speak for itself.

While providing the right volume of music for the dance floor, I maintain it at a level so that conversation is possible in other parts of the room. If you want it louder – no problem.

If you also have other entertainment, I have a lot of experience working with bands and singers, and make sure to liaise with them, and that we don't play the same songs.

I can also arrive earlier and provide background music – for when your guests arrive or during a meal – creating the right mood with music that is, for instance, modern and laid-back, classical, jazz-based, ambient, or a compilation of some of your favourite songs.

Weddings:

Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage.

Your wedding day is obviously one of the most important days of your life, and one you will remember for all your life. It is therefore important that you make the right choices, and that you take as much care choosing your DJ as you do with the catering, flowers, venue, photographer, and so on. Your evening's entertainment is a major potion of your day. Not every DJ is the same. We don't all fit the stereotype of the cheesey wedding DJ.

I have been a professional wedding DJ since 2000. Weddings are occasions I take particular pride in and enjoy, whether it be a large, formal wedding, a more intimate, relaxed occasion, or a little less conventional (as with the three-day burlesque-themed wedding festival I DJ'd at just outside Peterborough). Whatever style you choose, I ensure that everything runs smoothly and you have a relaxed, stress-free time.

Once booked, I am always available, should you want to talk about and plan your reception. I always tailor the reception and the music to your specific needs and wishes.

If you would like your guests to join you towards the end of the first dance, or for the second song, I can invite them to join you on the dance floor.
