Our Nursery

At Bells Day Nursery we provide a caring and fun learning environment where each child is encouraged to develop to their true potential.

We offer a wide variety of activities for all age groups with an emphasis on encouraging children to make their own choices and decisions.
The Baby Room
Our Baby Room provides a loving, warm and comfortable environment where the emotional, physical and educational needs of each baby are given the highest priority.
There are individual cots for sleep times, changing facilities, a milk kitchen and plenty of space to discover and enjoy a wide range of carefully selected toys, equipment and activities.
Your baby will join a small group of up to five other babies who will be cared for by two qualified and experienced staff who will be based permanently in the baby room for continuity of care.

The Toddler Room
Toddlers are as you know enchanted by everything the world has to offer, therefore our Toddler Room is a bright and stimulating environment. Activities such as puzzle solving, role play, construction etc. will encourage your child's communicative and sharing abilities. This will be used in conjunction with other resources such as messy play – sand, water, clay etc. as well as arts and crafts.

Pre school Room
Our pre-school children enjoy more structured timetable of learning activities covering all areas of the curriculum:

Communication, Language and Literacy; Reading, writing, to talk and listen, learning phonic sounds, the meaning of words. Children enjoy books and stories. There is a reading scheme for those who are ready. Children learn French in a fun way with a qualified early years language teacher.

Mathematics; Counting, number recognition, shape, size, quantity, sequence, time, problem solving. Learning mathematical concepts through practical “hands on" activities.

Knowledge and Understanding of the World; A developing knowledge and understanding of the environment, other people and features of the natural and made world. Providing a foundation for history, geography, science and technological learning. Computers with educational software are available for the children.

Personal, Social & Emotional Development; Children learn how to work, play, empathise, and co-operate with others. Learn about personal hygiene and dressing themselves.

Physical Development: Developing physical control, movement, mobility. Learning ball control (catching, kicking, batting), skipping, games, and tricycles.

Creative Development: Art, craft, music, singing, dance, drama. Children explore sound and colour, texture, shape, form and space in two and three dimensions.

Children are well prepared for Primary School. There's lots of fun and activities in Bells Day Nursery
