Average out of town pub

Service

Quality

Value

This is a cosy out of town/village pub which offer good meals at reasonable prices. When going for Sunday lunch (which is a carvery) you can get a drink and wait in the bar area but to be honest, on a Sunday, it's nowhere near big enough. The rest of the pub is then taken up with tables for lunch with a large conservatory at the rear with more dining tables. When your seat is ready a waitress will collect you and take you to your table. She will then come and tell you when you can go up to the carvery to get what you want. This might sound militarian but it does at least mean that when you join the queue it's not that long. they are very organised in that sense which is very good. The food was hot and delicious with as much as you wanted really. Couldn't fault it. The drinks were reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and courteous which is something hard to come by these days. During the week i hear the evening meals are just as good but less busy. Definitely worth a look if you want to avoid the chain type pubs.
