I for many years have been a customer of this pub mainly because you could always get a good pint of Boddingtons, sadly no more! This may be due to Inbev ruining Boddies but apart from that the guest beers are rarely in sparkling condition and of late are undrinkable, on occasions I have tried four different beers none of which were palatable, a bit of “a pig in a poke“. It appears to be of no use returning beer, as when I did (when a pint tasted vinegary, not for the first time) I was informed by the Landlord (after he tasted it) that there was nothing wrong with it? How standards have changed. So sadly I no longer visit as I don't wish to pay good money to have sub standard beer. As well as the poor beer the place in general is grubby, in the small room next to the pool table you can often see mice running around at quiet times. The gents usually stink awful and are freezing in winter. And they wonder why pubs are closing fast?Would have given 0 points but for its' past
