Horrendous!

Unfortunately, our 2 favourite curry houses do not deliver. It is Saturday night, had a long day at work, football is on and we just don't want to go out to get a curry. The problem is, we just dont seem to be able to find a good curry house that delivers! I like my MADRAS curry hot and my wife likes her BALTI medium hot. When the delivery driver delivered, my wife asked which curry was which - "I am just a taxi driver" came the reply. We weren't too worried because we thought the taste test would help us fathom which one of the unmarked curry was a balti and the other madras... however, both curries were identical!! Yes we could be perceived as "moaners" but there was 9 very small bits of chicken and the sauce was like water. It is a pity that the curry did not match the naan bread because the naan bread was perfect. I just do not understand why the curry houses do not deliver good food; if they did they might find they get repeat custom.

The spice of Bengal has gained a good name with the public for providing some good service,i enjoy their customer service a lot here just like their food. Each time i come here a waiter sits me down and my friends or family whoever i come with.We have a look at the menu and decided to order, what stands out from the menu here is their chicken tikka. They make some lovely chicken tikka here, their chicken tikka is no doubt some of the best you can from here in Preston. They always make the food on time and never take long,Lovely food, good service what more could you want?

i've been going to the spice of begal for over 9 years now. They always remember who i am and are everso friendly and the service is always the best. its one of the best indians as its bang in the centre of town and really good value for money. I love the chicken madras and find i nearly always have this! the decor is nice and isn't overbearingly done out as in some restaurants and the music is quiet and not intrusive. the chicken tikka is also great and served up in on a big sizzling plater. if you like indian food this is the place to go, and if you don't think you like indian food this is the place to go to convince you otherwise.

I can not recommend a restaurant more highly that the Spice of Bengal. After being a customer for 4 years now they never fail to amaze me with their excellant food and hospitality. The staff are always polite and nothing is too much trouble. It is a lovely relaxed environment to enjoy lovely food and of course pints of Kingfisher! They offer a wide range of indian cuisine at reasonable prices and every meal we have had has been excellant.Spice of Bengal also offer a delivery service which is also very efficient with the food arriving nice and hot.
