About

The Academy

Oasis Academy Oldham is part of the wider Oasis Hub Oldham, which includes Oasis Academy Limeside. The two schools work side by side on a daily basis to ensure the best all round educational provision for students in our combined community.

Welcome

Oasis Academy Oldham moved into a brand new £30m building on the site of the former Brook Mill on Hollins Road in 2012. Oasis Academy Oldham opened in September 2010 and replaced South Chadderton and Kaskenmoor Schools. In 2013, we were the most improved school in Oldham and Greater Manchester as well as being in the top 4% nationally for improved GCSE results.

About Us

The facility is purpose built for 21st century education with outstanding ICT facilities and resources for the whole community including fitness suite, 3G sports pitch, and multi-use games area.

Oasis Academy Oldham is sponsored by Oasis Community Learning, which is a separate charity but is part of the Oasis Global Family.

Oasis UK, a Christian organisation, was founded by Reverend Steve Chalke MBE in 1985 and began its work in the UK but now delivers educational, healthcare and housing projects throughout the world.

The Academy is diverse, co-educational and takes students from across Oldham and Manchester.

Oasis Academy Oldham offers a breakfast club from 8:00am and high quality after school activities.

If you would like to view the Academy or talk to any members of staff, visits or appointments may be arranged by telephone, letter or enquire online.

Progress, Update and Review Days are held three times a year for parents and carers to discuss progress and pastoral issues. Full reports are issued at the end of each academic year.

Year group and House assemblies are held every day. They celebrate achievement as well as addressing a wide range of academic, pastoral, social, spiritual and cultural themes. We will hold our first full annual presentation evening in July 2014 to celebrate achievements and excellence during the year.

The Principal is part of the Future Leaders network, which is an organisation focused on high aspiration and academic success for students from all backgrounds. This ethos has underpinned the ongoing commitment to improved outcomes for all students at Oasis Oldham.
