One of the best Italian restaurants for miles!
Our party of four rated this one of the top restaurants in the area, equal to San Carlos in Manchester. If the reviewer "finefood" found the staff rude I can only conclude that they must have done or said something to upset them. And if DJ Bullman thinks that a three course meal for four people including 7 bottles of beer and two of wine was expensive at £133 then it shows the low class of restuarant he normally frequents. I would normally expect to pay in the region of £50 per head for a meal of this quality. In fact a couple of bottles of decent Barolo could cost what he paid for the whole meal for his party, so I fail to see what he is moaning about. This is a supurb restaurant for food, service and ambiance, and as such I found the prices veryreasonable.

superb
Contrary to the previous reviewer, we ate at Del Lago last evening and found the staff to be extremely pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was full but we did not have to wait long for our drinks and food. Both my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The food was superb - the best meal we've had in a restaurant for a long, long time. Although not a cheap evening, it certainly wasn't expensive, taking into account the good quality food and wine, I'd have no hesitation in recommending the Del Lago to friends and family.

very poor service, waited ages for service. Rude staff, was brought wrong wine. The starter was presented badly and was not cooked as it should. The main course was tough and the veg was burnt, and to top all this the bill was £120.00 and i have had better food and service from McDonalds. Avoid at any cost.Mr Lapaki

Very poor front of house staff, we waited an age before someone attended to us.My good lady was served wine in a dirty glass. This is an expensive eatery to say the least. 4 people 3 starters 4 mains 4 desserts 7 bttles italian beer 2 red wines £133.00

Efficient
Very efficient service and mouth watering main courses! Great atmosphere and extensive menu. I would definitely recommend this place.
