About

I am a traditional trained Chinese acupuncturist specialising in all kind of musculoskeletal pain. However I want to stress that acupuncture is a wonderfully varied, non-invasive therapy which can help with conditions as varied as migraine to Irritable Bowel Syndrome. If you think I may help you, please phone and I'll give straight answers to your questions.
Sincerely
Timothy Major

Acupuncture, under-pinned by Chinese Medicine is a wonderful effective alternative to Western medicine. Acupuncture is often the treatment come upon by people who are at the end of the western medical road. I'm thinking of many who are suffering chronic pain such as rheumatism as well as sufferers of chronic conditions where western medicine has had limited success, for example IBS, Raynaud's disease, insomnia etc.

It is unfortunate that many people do not find acupuncture long before their condition becomes a chronic illness; for acupuncture's real strength lies in maintaining health and keeping our bodies and mind-spirit well.

It is also one of the least invasive therapies there is when compared to long-term drug therapy for example. I cannot fib and say the needles never hurt. But the truth is that for the overwhelming majority of people, they are rarely even felt. This is because the needles are incredibly thin (about the thickness of a human hair), and exceedingly sharp and good needles are manufactured to be so smooth so they do not drag the tissue. I have had acupuncture now many times and look forward to the feeling of more energy, greater focus and a hugely increased sense of well-being which inevitably accompany almost all treatments.
