Trading since 2005 under a different name Apple Bookkeeping Services moved to South London and service London, Kent and in fact the whole of the UK. Apple are specialists in Cloud Bookkeeping Technology using Intuit QuickBooks Online.

Mark Jales, the proprietor has over sixteen years of hands-on experience running public houses, restaurants and hotels. Apple therefore specialise in looking after those in the trade as we understand your business.

Apple prides itself on personal service at a very reasonable cost. Working from home means that there are no expensive London offices or lots of staff, thus Apple can keep it's overheads low which means the cost for your accounting needs is less. Just because you pay a little less than a high street accountant/bookkeeper doesn't mean we give a worse service. If anything... it's the opposite!

About Me

Hello, I am Mark Jales and a very warm welcome to my website. I started in this line of work in 2005 having previously worked in several different professions. Between 2006-2008 I worked for a Chartered Accountant whilst building my bookkeeping practice. Over the years I have worked for owner managed companies but my main background is of being Self-Employed running my own businesses for many years. I spent 16 years in the licensed trade running pubs, restaurants and a hotel. I have also owned my own coffee shop/bistro. Therefore I am an expert in the hospitality food and beverage industry and If you are in this trade you can rest assured that I understand your business with all its ups and downs. I'm therefore well placed to do your bookkeeping, payroll, VAT and if required, your stocktaking as well.
Working from home means that I do not have any flash London offices with high rents and expenses and I am therefore able to be more competitive price wise. I use consultants and associates as and when required. One such associate is a Chartered Certified Accountant. I also have a Stocktaker, Company Lawyer and a Barrister specialising in company law who I work with or recommend when and if needed.

I Have A Very Flexible Approach

Apple Bookkeeping and Accounts have a very flexible approach to my client's needs, I offer more than just the routine annual reporting function. My expertise lies in assisting businesses throughout the year, supplying Profit/Loss, Balance Sheets each month and as many other detailed reports for Sales and Expenditure that the client requires. This means I am providing up to date information and advice on how to move your business forward. With the modern trend of Cloud Virtual Bookkeeping most clients are moving towards this way of working. On this basis meetings with clients are usually by video conferencing keeping them up to date with how their company is performing and how the company can improve its profitability. If regular meetings are not required I will meet with clients when draft or final Annual Accounts have been prepared to discuss any issues clients may have face to face. During office hours I try to always be available for contact on either landlines, mobile or email to assist clients with any business matters. If I am in a meeting or with a client you will be able to leave a message and I will return your call as soon as is possible.I really place emphasis on not simply being a bookkeeper who you speak to once a year. Because I am a sole proprietor you do not get passed onto a junior member of staff when you need real business advice, you speak directly and personally to me. Outside of work I enjoy eating out, theatre, cinema, swimming, concerts and play the piano which I started learning at the age of ten.
