The Millstream is more of a restaurant then a pub. The place is designed in mind for diners and not casual drinkers. There is a nice outside area where you can eat, and drink and of course smoke if your that way inclined. The beer prices are not cheap, and are pretty expensive compared to other pubs in the area. The food is slightly on the expensive side, but it is nice. The staff are very friendly.

The Millstream is situated needless to say beside a steam, but the interesting fact really is that it is outside the town centre, but almost directly opposite the Anchor pub.And it is almost the complete opposite of the Anchor. The Millstream is a very nice pub, i.e. almost more of a restaurant. The Menu and specials are outstanding, but slightly more expensive than your standard pub menu. The drinks are also more expensive than the norm in a pub in Hitchin, but then you are paying for the excellent service, friendly atmosphere and great location / building. The staff are extremely friendly and efficient. It is family friendly with a bouncy castle for the kids. They now hold car boot sales on the first Sunday of the month in their second car park which is just over a bridge from their main car park – you can't miss it.
