The last two years

When my wife and I visited Weeke Primary two years ago for an initial placement for our son, you could see that the school had been neglected. Upon meeting the head teacher (Mrs Hastie) you could tell that this was/is a women who was definitely going to turn this school around. Within the first six months of my son attending, it was evident that things were improving (equipment, atmosphere & security fencing etc). The dedication of the teachers and helpers is second to none. All the teachers and helpers that I have met (including Mrs Hastie) are very approachable for both parents and children. In fact it is very noticeable how the children respond. Two years have now passed since my son started at Weeke and I can't wait for the Ofstead. Believe me, we made the right decision to place our son at week. Forget the last Ofstead as Mrs Hastie was not there !. One more thing, all of the parents that I have met at the school gate are also friendly (which is something that cannot be said for some of the other schools nearer the town centre (no hints here but they are just off the Stockbridge road !))
