The Clarence is Portsmouth and Southsea's multi-award winning small, luxury boutique hotel. This Edwardian residence has been stylishly converted to create eight individually and professionally designed bedrooms.
Situated just a few hundred yards from the seafront, and only 5 minutes drive from the World famous attractions of the Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Quays and the Spinnaker Tower. The Bar at The Clarence is the perfect place to unwind wether you are with friends, family or just relaxing with a newspaper. You can lounge on our comfy sofas and easy arm chairs with a glass of Champagne or one of our fantastic cocktails.

Our restaurant prides itself not only on our service but of course on our food. We believe that Breakfast should be served freshly cooked to order and taken at your leisure. That's why we offer breakfast until 11am every morning. Make your selection from the Traditional English Breakfast including Free-range eggs, dry-cured bacon and award-winning sausages to home made waffles with maple syrup and fresh berries or porridge with banana and whisky or even perhaps toasted muffins topped with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. We also offer a selection of freshly baked pastries, yogurts, fresh fruit, cheeses and cereals.
