About Us

This is what started it all off. In the summer of 2012, Chris Pope (director, entrepreneur and musician) was at a meeting with Southampton City Council regarding plans to build more cycle ways in the area where his previous business was situated. In the process they would be removing some of the car parking, which would have been damaging to that business. The council representatives argue they are trying to encourage more people to ride bikes to work and Chris responds that whilst that might be a positive idea, Southampton is a sea port which means that it's great riding into the city (downhill or flat) but going home in which ever direction is a painful, slow, uphill experience! And that will always put off certain people from using a bike instead of a car. Hills are the problem and you can't take the hills away can you?

And the penny dropped!... Light bulb on!... ELECTRIC BIKES! Chris took the idea to his good friend Rod Bransgrove (director), chairman of Hampshire Cricket, the AGEAS Bowl and himself a successful businessman and entrepreneur who likes a challenge! Rod is well travelled and had noticed an increase in electric bicycles for everyday transport in other countries but felt the UK was lagging behind.

Services

We don't carry a lot of stock here, instead we have invested in a good selection of demo bikes that you can see and try. Then when you have made your decision we can order you the bike that you want, in the colour, size and specification that you require, usually within a couple of days if the bike is in stock. It is then pre-delivery assembled, checked and charged ready for collection. We also sell a range of accessories to compliment your bike along with clothing, Bloc sunglasses, Buff headwear, Squire locks etc. Last but not least, we also sell some cool non-electric folding bikes. We are also looking into providing electric bikes for hire.
