Public Houses in Havant

This must be the best pub in Havant by far (though there really isn't much competiion). It has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and lots of events on in the evenings. There's a quiz night on tuesday which usually leads to the pub being packed out; a poker league night on Thursday and usually some live music from great local bands on Saturdays. It shows Sky sports on 2 screens on one half of the pub, leaving the other half much quieter for conversation and chat. The food menu is good with a micture of standard pub-grub and an ever-changing list of specials on the blackboards. It has a couple of fruit machines and an itBox quiz machine, as well as a dartboard, and you can ask behind the bar for a selection of boardgames. Standard selection of lagers, wines and spirits and the beer selection seems good (not my thing but there is usually an appreciative crowd of real-ale drinkers). Drinks are not cheap (around £3 a pint). The best bit about this pub though is the huge pub garden out the back with a lovely smoking area covered and provided with good heaters, making it the best smoker-friendly pub I've seen.
