I called CTA (Council Tax Advisors Ltd) after a very distressing call from my mother saying that she had the bailiffs down who had tricked her into signing some papers! (levying her goods). My mother who cannot speak, read or write English was in floods of tears. I tried, along with my brother to come to some sort of arrangement with Birmingham City Council and the bailiffs to stop this action but to no avail. We were put through this department and that, and no matter how we tried to explain her vulnerable status, it made no difference. After ringing numerous companies I came across CTA who helped straight away. Chris calmed me down and reassured me immediately. From the very first call, after a small fee, Chris took full control of the situation. Chris made me aware of all my mother's rights and was so understanding. No matter how silly my queries were or what time of day it was, Chris was there at the other end of the phone for assistance and help. We had many aggressive and threatening calls from the bailiffs throughout the process. I cannot thank Chris and his team enough for all their help and services. Thanks to Chris my mother has retained all her goods and now is in talks with the council to arrange a payment plan. I would highly recommend this company for anyone who is having problems with council tax and the bailiffs. I couldn't have been happier with the service I have received from CTA, I came home on Tuesday 14th during work hours after being told by my wife the bailiffs where outside the house, my wife and kids where scared as the bailiffs had told her they will be coming in with a locksmith, so I got on Google to find some solutions to this problem, I came across the CTA's website, and thought I will give them a call, I spoke to a polite lady who I told the bailiffs where outside, she told me she would have someone call me back right away, two minutes later Chris phoned me back, I informed him the bailiffs where at the door, he told me firstly not to open the door, then he advised of my options to try get this matter dealt with, I took his first line of advice to call the council direct where I was told I have to sort out with the bailiffs, so called Chris right back, he then advised me that he can hold my hand through this process with free advice or for a small fee would take this matter forward for me. On Wednesday 15th I paid the fee for him to take it in hand for me, and I'm glad I did, because by Tuesday 21st it was back with the council to sort out a new payment option. No more bailiffs. CTA and Chris definitely went above and beyond the call of duty, if I needed him out of hours I could get hold of him, if I had any small questions he never once told me how silly I sounded, he was always available for me to ask anything I needed. Bailiffs are very intimidating and don't always tell you the truth, Chris cleared all there empty threats right up and made me feel a lot more confident that I and my family where going to be safe. I am 110% satisfied with the service I received and would recommend anyone struggling to get in touch, the advice is free and the fee for CTA to help all the way was worth every penny.
