The Summerfield Nursing Unit provides the Cotswolds' finest nursing care for patients aged 18 and over in luxury, hotel style accommodation set in stunning woodlands in the Regency Town of Cheltenham Spa, Gloucestershire. As an independent, family run business we've built a reputation over 28 years for providing the highest quality nursing care, including complex nursing needs.

Designed by award winning architects DWA and shortlisted for a Pinders Design Award, The Summerfield was purpose built to provide the finest nursing care and best environment. With spacious, light and attractive rooms, state of the art treatment facilities, beautiful gardens, private cinema, inviting relaxation areas, holistic therapy treatment rooms and a hair salon, The Summerfield is a first class choice, with our approach being the key to it all.

THE NURSING UNIT – THE SUMMERFIELD NURSING UNIT

Patient welfare, comfort and wellbeing have been the priorities at The Summerfield Nursing Unit since it was established March 1986.

A safe, peaceful environment is provided in an impressive building. Good, nutritional food is essential to aid recovery, and at the Summerfield meals are fresh, cooked on site, and are well presented. All staff members are highly trained in their role. Each section has a Departmental Head, while overall responsibility lies with the Matron and the General Manager. Qualified nurses are in post 24 hours a day, every day, with specialist services available at short notice. Nursing assistants are keen, motivated, and many have achieved NVQ3 status.
