My wife and I have been going to Butlers Restaurant an average of once a week since Butlers in Regent Arcade closed. We have found it to be a friendly welcoming atmosphere. The food is excellent and always hot as it is cooked to order. The prices are unbelievably low, with cod with chips and peas, pie (a choice of chicken and mushroom, steak and kidney, or minced beef and onion), with chips and peas, gammon special, with chips, peas, fried egg, tomato and pineapple, all for an astonishing £3.50 each! There is a good range of other meals available as well, all at good prices. Mostly, your meal arrives within ten minutes, although at very busy times, it can obviously take five or ten minutes longer, and well worth waiting for. If you want a hot filling meal in town without breaking the bank, give Butlers a try, I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
