Classiflora Imports started in 1979 in outbuildings on a farm in Ongar, Essex, a family run business employing two staff supplying dried flowers and floral sundries to the Floristry Trade. The company expanded into indoor plants for large Atriums and office reception areas imported from America. During this time there was an introduction to Zelari Piante in Pistoia Italy. In 1983 the purchase of a 2 acre site in Goffs Oak was completed, broadening the working partnership between Classiflora and Zelari offering hardy plants into the UK market. The partnership between Classiflora and Zelari at Goffs Oak over a 10 year period became stronger and the client base bigger. To accommodate the demand of plants for the UK market a further move was made to Crews Hill in 1995. Between 1995 & 2005 the two companies grew together using "Marketing Ideas" such as "Fly and Buy" to encourage Garden Centre Plant Buyers to visit Pistoia Italy to hand pick the plants, and annual "Open Days" at the start of the season used to encourage plant buyers to come and see the range of plants on offer, complete with Mediterranean hospitality. With the growing demand for Italian Specimen Plants and the ever increasing range from around Europe, Classiflora decided to move for the 3rd and final time to Heathfield Nurseries Waltham Abbey.

CFI continues to offer an integrated range of wholesale products and services to its clients revolving around the supply and distribution of hardy outdoor shrubs, trees and ornamental plants at competitive prices. All plants selected and received by CFI are allowed time to acclimatise before being cleaned and thoroughly checked by our skilled team of nurserymen prior to despatch. At the request of the client, each consignment can be delivered on Danish trolleys, pre-priced and bar coded incorporating the descriptive swing tag personalised with the client's name. There is no minimum delivery policy throughout mainland UK with all prices quoted inclusive of delivery. 'Little and often' and 'top-up' batches are regularly catered for. CFI operates its own fleet of vehicles that include both 7.5t delivery lorries as well as regionally located show vans; furthermore, delivery of larger orders is periodically out-sourced to a highly experienced and professional logistics company able to facilitate articulated loads to any UK and European destination. Any time, any place, any where and any size. Our show vehicles carry in excess of 50 sample plants of differing sizes from the ever changing product range for you to view and select and will, at your request, visit your facility on a regular basis. In support of our field sales we employ full time personnel who oversee all aspects of quality control, irrigation, despatch and logistics necessary to ensure the integrity and punctuality of the product. In addition we also employ a number of administrative and online personnel all of whom are focused on meeting the customer's requirements exactly in relation to time, quality and quantity.
