ABOUT THE PRACTICE

The Kenneth Mark Architectural Practice was formed in September 1978 and continued through to April 1999 at which time the Practice was reformed with the same staff as a Limited Company and became The Kenneth Mark Practice Ltd. The company are Chartered Architects and Surveyors with membership of the RIBA; Constructionline (Membership No. 9712) and are Registered for Quality Management in compliance with ISO 9001.

SERVICES OFFERED

The Practice offers both traditional drawing methods as well as computer-aided design.

We are able to offer all aspects of architectural services - new build houses for private clients, extensions to private houses, maintenance and improvements of Listed and Non-Listed Buildings, barn conversions, loft conversions, etc.

The Practice also has considerable experience in Housing Association works, including planned cyclical maintenance and rehabilitation schemes (fair-rented and improvement for sale).

Other fields of experience include Quinquennial Inspections and improvement works to Churches, Land and Building Surveys, Structural Reports and Recommendations, Party Wall Awards, Planning Supervisory duties, Contract Management and House Purchase Reports.

Above all the Practice seeks to offer an individual and personal service, with guidance to the client from the initial seed of an idea through to its completion. Many of our commissions are gained through recommendation from past clients, and many have returned to the Practice for further work.

PROJECTS

ALBURY, HERTS - Two Storey Side Extension for private client to detached Grade II Listed country property. Commission included our full service (Planning through to completion of works). RAYLEIGH WINDMILL - Restoration of an 18th century tower windmill into a town centre museum and education facility for Rochford District Council. The building has a Green Apple Award for the contribution it makes to Architectural Heritage and the Built Environment.
