About Us

Cambridge Medical Writing Services is a group of highly experienced medical writers, with strong scientific backgrounds, well versed in writing scientific reports and manuscripts.

We provide expert writing services to the pharmaceutical, biomedical, and biotechnology industries.

CMWS is based in Cambridge, England.

The company was established in 1994 by Dr Peter Bates.

The principals in CMWS have considerable research and teaching experience in an academic environment together with substantial medical writing, publishing and marketing experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

The therapeutic areas in which we have specific expertise include diabetes, endocrinology, cardiology, the vascular system, oncology, HIV / AIDS, infection, inflammation, nutrition, gastroenterology, osteoporosis, rheumatology and mycology. However, our general scientific background enables us to be rapidly conversant with other fields.

We have considerable experience with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel, as well as skills in other publishing software such as QuarkExpress, Adobe Acrobat and various drawing and illustration packages.

Our client base is worldwide and the exchange of information and documents is largely carried out using electronic formats. This enables ease of handling and rapid turnaround to ensure that clients' deadlines are met.

We are always happy to meet with our clients' at a location suited to them in order to discuss the best means for proceeding with a project. This can be particularly productive for complex projects with multiple staff input. Once a project commences, we generally communicate by telephone while working from the clients electronic or hard-copy documents. However, when necessary we are willing to work at the client's site. It is our policy to work within specified timelines, agreed in advance with each client.
