Don't see what the fuss is about.
Went here for a meal after I saw the great reviews and was quite disappointed really. The service was good, but a little over attantive sometimes.I expected the food to be something different, but was the usual bland chinese food you get in a bog standard backstreet takeaway and I found the guy who owns it to be a bit smarmy.There are Chinese takeaways in Hove that do better food than this, if this is the best they can do, then I can see why staying in is the new going out!

About Danny's Great food, perfect in the way it is, they have a whole peice of chicken breast for the chicken satay, instead of leftover peice of chicken from main courses to insure you the freshness of their foodGreat Service, friendly, welcoming and helpful, especially Danny the manager, he is very helpful in suggesting to people in what they would like the eat.Great Environment, its a cozy and modern place with splashes of red to brighton and make the place more warm and lively. Great music, in the background, mixture of chinese and English, perfect for the atmosphere when eating.So why go to danny's?because, there's great service, great food, and all this is only managable by one great Manager.It's a great experince for another level of chinese food, It's Uniqe, it's one of a kind! this is a great place. The resturant is very clean and has great service. They welcome you as a proper guest. The food is very tasty. The freshness of it really opens your eyes. It is one of the best chinese resturants in birghton and hove. i would go there and try it you will be amazed.

Danny's Restaurant
Danny's Restaurant in Hove, is a new chinese restaurant that has just opened up on Portland road. It is fairly small but the whole place is immaculate and the decor is modern and tasteful.Food - The menu has all the usual suspects, black bean, sweet and sour etc and a few non regular dishes, salt and pepper soft shell crab, rack of lamb in pepper sauce. Not wanting to ruin our meal we went for regular favourites, salt'n'pepper squid, beef black bean, singapore noodles, chicken with mixed vegetables, rice.It was all good, specially liked the singapore noodles as they were a bit spicier than what you normally get. I actually spoke to Danny as well. He spends most of his time looking after the restauarnt as it is open throughout the day. Also he told me how good the chefs are. The head chef has won awards for his cooking. Not sure about that but the food was good, kitchen clean (you can see them cook as it has an open kitchen), and the staff were friendly. I will definitely go back there, for another try.
