Like new again
Our shower cubicle and kitchen floor needed a good clean to remove black mole from the grouting. Mick took on the challenge and renovated them to a nearly new standard. He achieved this by using chemicals in a safe and professional manner. Whist it felt the work was a bit expensive for a days work, we feel it was worth it as the alternative would have been to replace the tiles which would have been very expensive. Let’s hope we can now keep it as good as it looks now.

Stained patio
Our newly laid pale grey porcelain patio was badly stained by the use of the wrong grouting material. Calling in Mick of Tile doctor South East has provided us with a stress free total solution. From initial survey, testing and quoting to a completely successful cleaning job, Mick inspires confidence and is a true professional in his attitude to the job. He’s a nice bloke too, which always helps, nothings to much trouble, even sorting bits of our patio outside of his cleaning remit. Highly recommended.

Excellent Result

Great restoration

Slate patio

Victorian tiled hall refurbishment
Our Victorian tiled hall was looking a bit tired, with some door thresholds that required work to replace broken/missing tiles. It certainly wasn't the most inviting sight when you entered the house! Mick has transformed this into a bright, cheerful hall that welcomes you in. He explained exactly what he was doing along the way and was very cheerful, despite spending the best part of three days on his hands and knees!!Thanks Mick - much appreciate the hard work.

Great work at a difficult site
Mick did a brilliant job at our mid-terrace Victorian house on our earthenware floor tiles. The access to the basement area was particularly difficult, and there wasn't anywhere really near for him to park his vehicle. He coped really well with the access problems and was cheerful, punctual and the tiles look amazing!

Slate bathroom wall tiles
The whole operation was very easy and the tiles came up looking amazing. Mick was polite and friendly and just got on with it - and really tidied up after himself. When a plumber came round the next day he said that he couldn't have put the silicon sealant on better himself!

Renovation of Edwardian tiled entrance hall floor
Renovation of Edwardian tiled entrance hall floor. Mick did a wonderful job, explaining every step as he progressed, with great attention to detail. The floor now looks fantastic. Save for the wear, back to what it would have looked like when laid 115 years ago. No damage was caused to our newly painted and decorated entrance hall which was amazing given the chemicals in use. We have no hesitation in recommending Mick.

Couldn't be happier!
I was very close to haviong my kitchen floor tiles completely replaced, having invested in a steam cleaner and various cleaning products - my tiles were so grubby, I didn't see an alternative to changing them. I found the Tile Doctor online and within around 2 mins of speaking with Mick I could tell he really knew his tiles! I was gobsmacked after he cleaned them, they were brighter and cleaner than brand new! Couldn't be happier!

Thank you for a great job!
Our hall floor turned out to be a very complicated restoration but Mick did not give up. He worked quietly and conscientiously for four days in total and was only satisfied when the floor was looking as best it could. We are very pleased with the job and would definitely recommend Mick for any work of this kind. He would not accept any money until he and we were happy with the result and he only charged the agreed price, even though he had spent four days instead of two on the work. Mick is a true tile expert, a perfectionist and a great professional. Thank you!

Victorian quarry tiles restored to former glory
We found Mick / Tile Doctor online and saw some pictures of his work but were doubtful he could transform our concrete screed and bitumin covered floor to the same degree. His inspection visit was a veritable science class of what he could do and it convinced us to try. And he delivered! He was polite, informative and hard working (even coming back on a Sunday to do the final coat) and we feel like we have managed to not just rescue the original Victorian quarry tiles but turn them in to a bit of a feature. In short, I wholeheartedly recommend Mick.

Decrepit Victorian path brought back to better than new!

Very happy with our Outdoor Patio

Amazing Service
Mick contacted me promptly and went above and beyond to discuss my flooring needs and recommend Tile Doctors products. Within five minutes of speaking to him on the phone I had a link to the appropriate products and all I had to do was place the order! Excellent customer service, which on this occasion did not result in Mick actually doing the job. Quarry tile restoration
Mick was great throughout all stages of the floor renovation in our barn. He's done such a great job in our extensive hallway that we've decided to cancel our plans to replace the scruffy quarry tile floor in the main living area of the barn and get that renovated too. What a transformation! We didn't think it was possible to achieve such a great result! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mick. He was very professional, diligent and knowledgable.

Quarry Tiles in Hall
The quarry tiles in our hall were a mixture of old tiles some of which had probably been replaced over the years. However after cleaning and sealing they looked beautiful with a lovely sheen and the grouting ended up with a consistent charcoal colour. We are very pleased with the end result and Mick was very thorough and helpful.

Great job on our terracotta floor
Definite 5 stars. Great chap, professional job. Really responsive to communications when planning the work schedule. Now our old and mistreated terractta tiles all look fantastic. There was nothing that was too much trouble for Mick and he left the place tidy and spotless as he left.

Excellent Service
Mick made an excellent job of correcting my bad grouting and the damage I did to the surface of my sandstone patio. After spending a lot of time and money laying the patio I was not happy with the finished appearance. I tried lots of different products to repair the damage and to make the grouting look better without success. I searched the internet for someone to help, and found the "Tile Doctor", I contacted them and they put me in touch with Mick Conlon. After an initial site visit from Mick he suggested what he could do, we agreed the price and he carried out the work over two days. The finished result has transformed my patio. With Mick's help I am now proud of the patio. Thank you Mick for being a nice guy and a true professional.

Black Limestone Restored - Fantastic Result
May 2020 - Mick Conlon certainly gave our forecourt a new lease of life. After a misapplication of the wrong type of sealer (Not by any approved Tile Doctor, I hasten to add) the black limestone slabs were very patchy and streaky, ranging from light grey to dark grey across the all area, not a pretty sight. Luckily, after a couple of fraught weeks of research, we came across some videos of Tile Doctors work on line and within 48hrs, Mick Conlon based in East Sussex came all the way over to Broadstairs, Kent to survey what could be done. It came as a relieve to us to find out that the previous disaster could be made good. He explained what had to be done, stage by stage, and showed us images of what the paving slabs would look like when renovated. Quite simply, the finished job is better than anything we could have hoped for, it is fair to say that it looks far better than when it was first laid. If you live in the South East of England and your stone floors or tiles are not looking too good, call Mick Conlon - East Sussex Tile Doctor, he takes pride in his work and he will know exactly what to do. Superb workmanship
Fantastic service in every respect. Quality workmanship, expert knowledge, very helpful with all queries. Sorted out a problem in minutes that I had searched forums for to no avail. Polite, courteous and took real pride in his work. My shower room now looks like new and for a fraction of the cost that I could have done myself. Absolutely delighted. Mick explained the various options in relation to the slate tiles in my conservatory which have been untouched since being laid in excess of 15 years ago ! Mick completed the work, very polite professional guy who takes great pride in his work. The tiles have been cleaned to an exceptionally high standard and now look like new. Better than New

Very thorough and pleasing job
We are delighted with the appearance of the restored quarry tile floor, which was finished today. As it was, the previous owner had put multiple layers of varnish over it and, we think, over dirt that had entered the porous surface of the tiles. All this is gone and the original colour restored. The floor has been coated with a polymer film and we are hoping that this will last very many years. Mick has paid great attention to detail and has really gone the extra mile with work on the floor that we would reasonably have expected not to be included. We're very happy to recommend him.

Brilliant service.
Mick contacted us very quickly after our initial contact with the Tile Doctor. He was able to visit us in South Essex the next day to see our minute porch measuring 5 feet by 3 feet. He worked for over 2 hours to restore the tiles to as new condition. Brilliant work considering they were in a poor condition. He was also very helpful with advice for future maintenance. An excellent service from last year's Tile Doctor of the Year 2016. A thoroughly deserved title!
