Brilliant Shop
Just moved to Brighton and thought I would start cycling. A friend told me about the shop so I popped in on the off chance and ended out buying a bike. The staff were really friendly and were helpful. Highly recommend the shop.

Really friendly service
Been using Sydney Street bikes since I moved here about 5 years ago and really like the independent feel of the shop. Have bought a few bikes for my family and always recommend them to friends. Having been to a few of the bike shops I the area I would say they were definitely the most helpful.

Good knowledge, bad attitude
This is a prominent and well known local bike shop. The layout is absolutley terrible (just try and get through the door!) which makes for a very poor browsing experience but that is because they cram so much stock into a tiny space. I have bought three bikes from there in the past (for my kids and me). The younger guys in the shop are cheerful and friendly enough but the older guys (owners?) are never anything but miserable and unfriendly - the seem to be doing you the favour! I recently had problems with a new bike (£1000) bike and got very poor aftercare. I wouldn't go back.
