Excellent Product and Service
We used RJ Meaker fencing to install our garden fence and could not find fault with both the product and level of service they offered. From start to finish onthe job they were professional and efficient. Unlie most trades they also ensure that the site was left spotless after they had finiished, other the new fence there was no sign they had been there, several neighbours have since commented on the quality of the finish and will themselves be using this company for their own needs. Quality product and service from a local family business - Highly recommended!!

Recommended - Fence and plinth for wood fired oven
I used Meaker fencing based on the recommendation of a friend in Steyning and although I presented them with a difficult task they gave me good advice and did exactly what they promised. The Fence was excellent quality , installed with the minimum of fuss. I have since passed a recommendation to other friends in Steyning and they are pleased with the results.

Good quality shed
My husband used RJ Meaker fencing back in June for a raised decking in my garden we were very happy with their work so we have since purchased a 8’ x 6’ Lewis Apex shed from them. Which they erected for us. This is one of their cheaper range of sheds but I was really surprised by the Quality of it. Very Good value for money.

Excellent
I have just had a fence supplied and erected by RJ Meaker fencing who carried out the job in a highly profesional manner and at a very reasonable price. I found them not only to be polite but also very tidy with their work my garden was left in a very clean order probally cleaner than it was as they took some of my old garden rubbish away free of charge. I refuse to believe a couple of the other reviews like the one by S Bailey I was more than happy with the service and the workmen

DO Not use this company
Put up the wrong fence in the wrong place, did not fix post protectors but charged for them. Workman intimitdated me into writing a cheque. When I asked them to sort it out, I was ignored. I stopped my cheque. Meakers did contact me, admitted that they had put the wrong fence up, but said that boundaries always change when you put a new fence in and all boundaries are straight across gardens. not according to my deeds. Although I had told them before they put the fence up and I have given them time to fix their errors. All I have received is three threatening letters, Two abusive phone calls and a site visit from Jason Meaker that bought my neighbours out to protect me.

Disappointing
Used this well known local company to fit a new tongue and groove gate and was disappointed. Company provided the quote fairly quickly and the price was not overly excessive for what I expected to be a good product. Firstly, in my opinion, their communications are very poor - not even sure if they read their email and the whole company feels like it is stuck in the 1960s with no ability to take payment over the phone. More importantly, after the first attempt to fit the gate I had to have it sent back to get it remade so that there were no gaps and to repair the poor finish. Frustratingly, a few days after it was fitted I noticed another gap between one of the timbers with clear daylight showing through. Emailed them to report the problem twice and never had a response. Finally sorted it out myself and feel I should have just made it all myself.

Very proffesional and helpfull
I would like to thank RJ Meaker fencing for the great job they did for me on my raised garden decking I am very pleased with the way they erected it and the quality of the product, and for being prompt and proffesional I found this company both friendly and prompt as in the past i have been let down with various builders who either do not turn up on time or take longer than mentioned I was Mostly impressed with the way they cleared up and even took some of my garden rubbish away

No customer service
I had a new fence put up last year and parts of it have started to warp. I contacted them 3 weeks ago and they said they would get back to me. Still no response!

No comeback for customers
I bought a reasonable quality garden shed less than a year ago. There were some problems with the floor and they eventually sorted this - but it did take quite a bit of pressure to get them to take it seriously. More worryingly, there is no mould on the inside of the roof and quite a lot of damp on the side panels inside. I've been told they need to come and inspect the shed - but they are 'too busy' to do so. Seems I have no comeback on this £800 purchase.
